Bay Area Young Sierrans hold beach clean-up and bonfire
You can help found new Sierra Club activity section for folks 18 - 35
Saturday, June 21, beach clean-up at 5 pm, bonfire at 7, at Ocean Beach in San Francisco; look for
an information table with a Bay Area Young Sierrans Banner in the Ocean Beach parking lot across from the
Beach Chalet and Windmill at Stair #15.
Are you 18 - 35, and you like the outdoors? Are you interested in hiking and spending time outdoors with
new friends? Are you looking for like-minded individuals who share your interests and hobbies? Do you want a
better way to find other people who enjoy hiking?
Then come join the Young Sierrans Club for its first event - a beach clean-up and bonfire. We are hoping
to organize a new Sierra Club Bay Chapter activity section for outdoors-lovers of the younger generation
(singles, couples, and all). Once we get going, we hope to sponsor hikes, trips, and a wide range of outdoor
activities. Get in on the start of the fun.
We'll have music, games, and a chance to meet friendly people who care about the environment. Feel free
to bring a food item to share, and reusable utensils. No alcohol or glass permitted at the event.
