Save the Tuolumne River and get trained in effective skills for defending the environement.
This month we have twp priority actions for you to take.
First help protect the Tuolumne River. With its headwaters in Yosemite NationalPark, the Tuolumne is a national jewel
with native trout, bald eagles, black bears, and thrilling whitewater.
The San Francisco water system takes its water from the Tuolumne and plans on meeting future demand by withdrawing
more water and further depleting the river.
WhatYouCanDo - This month's key action
Write to:
Commissioner Ryan L. Brooks, San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
c/o Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter
2530 San Pablo Avenue
Berkeley, CA 94702.
Urge the commission to meet water needs and protect the Tuolumne for future generations through conservation and
recycling rather than withdrawing more water.
Then look at the article about our Grassroots Organizing Trainings and sign up for one of them.
Today, write a letter to help save a river; then in coming months learn new skills for a lifetime of protecting the
environment.
