This money would be taken from local funds delaying or eliminating or LOCAL transportation and roads projects, and violating agreements both TAM and SMART leaders made to the voters. | Target Store Proposed for Eastern San Rafael | A 137,000 sq.ft. Target store is proposed for the bayshore property at the end of Shoreline Parkway in East San Rafael. The location has sensitive wildlife, marshes and sloughs, and is adjacent to San Pablo Bay. The property is owned by Cal-Pox, a private San Rafael development company, and contains a hazardous, capped landfill from previous uses, upon which the store would be built.
